Lower back injuries in cricket. Fast bowler lower back injury.

Overview

Performance availability refers to an athlete’s capacity to train, compete, and progress consistently over time.

At Cricket Performance Collective (CPC), availability is treated as the primary prerequisite for performance. Without sustained availability, long-term performance development cannot be achieved or maintained.

CPC supports performance availability through advisory services, applied injury management, and structured decision-making frameworks that integrate health status, training load, and performance demands.

What Our Injury and Rehab Support Covers

Performance availability is not a binary concept of injured vs uninjured.

It is a dynamic process that requires ongoing assessment, planning, and adjustment across the season.

CPC’s availability work commonly addresses:

  • injury risk and recurrence

  • load tolerance and progression

  • return-to-play after injury

  • return-to-bowl after injury

  • complex or multi-factorial injury presentations

  • availability decision-making across training and competition

The goal is to support consistent participation and progression, not simply short-term availability.
